We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Volunteer Events Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for organizing events according to our organization's mission. This role requires strong events coordination skills, excellent project management abilities, and a commitment to fostering a positive volunteer experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead the events committee, including marketing opportunities and conducting research.
- The events coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing events. They handle logistical details, manage budgets, and ensure a smooth, successful event experience. This can involve working with vendors, coordinating with staff, and communicating with clients and attendees.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Strong supervisory skills with a focus on team building and collaboration.
- Excellent project management capabilities, including planning, execution, and evaluation of different initiatives.
- Strong administrative skills with attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
- Proficient in marketing strategies to coordinate event opportunities within the community.
- Spanish language is an asset. Some in-person attendance to meetings and events in St. Thomas is required.
