Summary
We are seeking a Veterinary Assistant / Tech to join our team at Avon Animal Hospital in the heart of our community. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting our veterinary staff and ensuring the highest standard of care for our animal patients.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures
- Provide compassionate care to animals in the clinic
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the facility
- Handle and restrain animals safely
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by veterinarians
- Assist with laboratory tests and procedures
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care
- Support the veterinary team in daily operations.
- Qualifications
- Previous experience minimum of one year or any course in veterinary as a Veterinary Assistant or Tech or in a similar role is required
- Strong knowledge of animal husbandry and veterinary terminology
- Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately
- Excellent communication skills with pet owners and team members
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures is a plus
- Certification as a Veterinary Technician is an advantage but not required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
