The Divine Academy of Learning, an educational institute under the Eparchy of Mississauga, Canada, is hiring Tutors (Math's, Science, English, and French language tutors) to teach elementary and high school students (Grades 1-12). The Academy focuses on improving students' academic performance through various teaching methods and invites tutors to join the team. This is a part-time role, and online tutoring sessions will be held on weekdays in the evenings.
Job Responsibilities:-
- Effectively teach the Ontario School Curriculum English and French language to Elementary (Group Classes) and High School students (One to One).
- Prepare course curriculum and use innovative methods to teach students.
- Effectively manage the classroom to maintain a safe, orderly learning environment. Assigning homework /worksheets, grading and giving feedback effectively to students at all levels.
- Maintain proper communication with the academic director, coordinator, students and parents.
- Assessment and evaluation according to growing success.
- Act all times in a respectable and professional manner.
- Help students improve critical thinking, problem-solving, and writing skills.
Education and Experience :
- Bachelor's Degree in Education and OCT certification.
- Experience in working in Ontario School Settings.
- Eligibility / Licence to teach English, Mathematics and other Science subjects in senior divisions (grade 9, 10, 11, and 12).
- Exemption to OCT certification to those who teach in University / Community College.
- Self –motivated, organized and effective team working skills.
- Respect and regard for Christian values and principles.
- Ability to interact with different levels of management
