Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Counter Person to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service and support. You will assist with sales, handle cash transactions, and maintain an organized workspace. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a knack for retail sales, and a basic understanding of automotive/truck repair.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while maintaining a balanced cash register.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to track inventory and manage orders.
- Provide knowledgeable assistance regarding truck parts and services.
- Maintain a clean and organized counter area to enhance customer experience.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Address customer concerns promptly and professionally, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
- Assist in training new staff members as needed.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively.
- Previous experience in retail sales or a similar customer service role is preferred.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Experience with cash handling procedures is essential.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of automotive repair is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.

Pay: $20.09-$26.00 per hour
