Position Overview
As a Truck Driver, your primary objectives are:
Safe and Efficient Transportation: Ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods from the Distribution Center to our stores and do the loading and unloading process for the cargo.
Vehicle Maintenance: Keeping the truck in good condition, performing pre-trip inspections, and following all traffic laws.
Regulation Compliance: Adhering to transportation procedures and public safety regulations.
Problem-Solving: Demonstrating the ability to handle unexpected situations on the road, such as traffic delays or vehicle issues.

Why will you be a good fit for this role?
- Has a valid Class 5 driving license with a clean driving record.
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience as a truck driver with a similar business.
- Has exceptional communication skills and can connect easily with colleagues and customers.
- You can juggle tasks! You’re an expert at mastering time, tasks, and priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Has professional training and or certifications including Forklift, First Aid are an asset.
- Has a strong sense of safety awareness and attention to detail.
- You are self-motivated, with the ability to work in a team environment or independently.
Key responsibilities:
- Drive a company-owned 5-ton truck for local deliveries to supply our stores with merchandise.
- Perform general physical activities in order to load, unload, sort and move shipments.
- Inspecting vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues, and performing preventative maintenance.
- Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules to our stores.
- Report defects, accidents, or violations to your direct manager on time.
- Other projects and tasks that may be required from time to time.
Requirements:
- Class 5 Driving License
- Basic computer knowledge is required.
- Being comfortable to drive for long hours and manage road traffic.
- The ability to lift heavy objects will be required.
- Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
- Forklift & First Aid certification are an added asset.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
