The Training/Safety Coordinator supports and implements safety and training programs to ensure employees are well-prepared and compliant with safety standards. This role helps maintain a safe work environment, driving engagement, teams are equipped with skills and knowledge to prove G.R.E.A.T customer service and adherence to Kent's Safety Management System.
- Safety Training: Develop and implement safety training programs for employees.
- Compliance: Ensure all staff adhere to safety protocols, company policies and regulatory standards.
- Record-Keeping: Maintain training and safety documentation, and compliance audits including responsibility for minutes of JHSC meetings.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct audits, assess hazards, and implement corrective actions.
- Training Facilitation: Deliver training sessions using various methods (in-person, e-learning, hands-on etc.).
- Collaboration: Work with managers to identify training needs, gaps and communicate opportunities.
- Monitoring & Evaluation: Assess training effectiveness and track employee progress.
- Expand Knowledge: Continuously expand knowledge of HR and safety to provide store support.
- Reinforce Safety Culture: Promote a strong safety culture within the workplace. Investigate incidents, near misses, and hazards to determine root causes and determine corrective action.
- Training Completion: Strive for 100% completion of safety and training programs to ensure the store is prepared to deliver G.R.E.A.T customer service and maintain high employee engagement.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Leadership ability without direct authority.
- Organized, agile, and capable of handling multiple priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Self-starter with problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
