Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Glazier to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing, repairing, and replacing glass in various structures, including windows, doors, and storefronts. This position requires attention to detail and a strong understanding of safety protocols. The Glazier will work closely with other construction professionals to ensure high-quality installations and repairs.
Duties
- Install and replace glass in windows, doors, and other structures according to specifications.
- Restore existing glass installations by repairing or replacing damaged sections.
- Utilize hand tools and equipment for cutting, shaping, and installing glass.
- Apply caulking around edges of glass for weatherproofing and aesthetic purposes.
- Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople on construction projects.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand installation requirements.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulations.
- Perform tile laying and flooring installation as needed in conjunction with glass projects.
- Maintain a clean work area and adhere to all safety protocols.
Requirements
- Experience preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team, with mechanical aptitude.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
