About the Job
We are seeking a responsible and observant Traffic Controller to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to monitor and manage inbound and outbound traffic on and off the site to ensure safety, compliance, and efficiency. The successful candidate will often be stationed in a pickup truck, equipped with the tools needed to observe and report traffic activities.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Monitor all inbound and outbound traffic on-site and in surrounding areas
- Use radar or other monitoring tools to detect speeding or traffic violations
- Issue verbal or written warnings to drivers who do not follow site traffic rules
- Observe and note any non-compliant drivers or vehicles
- Provide feedback and recommendations to the sales and management teams regarding truck movement and traffic concerns Maintain daily traffic logs and incident reports
Here’s What You Need
- Valid G Class Driver’s License
- Strong knowledge and understanding of traffic laws and regulations
- Excellent observation and reporting skills
- Previous experience in a security or law enforcement role is an asset
- Ability to work independently and remain alert for long periods
- Comfortable working outdoors and sitting in a vehicle for extended times
