Ideal for a semi-retired/retired person who enjoys working with the public and the outdoors. The boat captain provides a narration during the cruise while safely piloting the boat and dealing directly with customers and crew. You must enjoy public speaking, work well as a team and be prepared to work under pressure. A rewarding and fulfilling position for someone who is looking for a longstanding summer seasonal position.
- Boating experience on a pleasure craft is ideal however practical, first aid and marine safety training will be provided before becoming certified with Transport Canada.
- Shifts can vary from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; 4:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m or 11 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- 2-5 days/week from end of May to early October
Grand River Dinner Cruises is a family owned and operated business since 1978. We have approximately 40 seasonal employees and provide a friendly, respectful working environment. We operate 3 dinner cruise boats with capacity of 49 passengers each from mid-May to mid-October.
