Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant to support the delivery of technology-assisted occupational therapy and motor rehabilitation services for neurodivergent children and youth. This part-time position offers hands-on experience with innovative therapeutic interventions in a dynamic, child- centered environment.
Responsibilities
- Uphold safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Assist in implementing therapy sessions focused on motor skill development, executive function, and self-regulation.
- Collaborate with supervising clinicians to deliver consistent and high-quality care.
- Facilitate and monitor technology-assisted therapy activities tailored to each client’s needs.
- Prepare therapeutic materials and ensure smooth session flow.
- Build rapport with children and adolescents with diverse neurodevelopmental profiles.
Qualifications:
- Background or current enrollment in Occupational Therapy Assistant/Physiotherapy Assistant (OTA/PTA), Psychology, Child Development, or a related field.
- Strong interest in neurodiversity and technology-supported intervention
- Comfortable working with children and youth, particularly those with autism, ADHD, or motor coordination challenges.
- Available 1–5 fixed days per week on an ongoing basis
Assets:
- Knowledge of occupational therapy principles, motor learning, or child mental health.
- Solid computer skills and openness to using digital tools in therapy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Previous experience in pediatric care
Compensation and Training:
- 4-week onboarding and training period with full supervision.
- Following training, the role transitions into paid tiered compensation, based on:
- Performance and engagement
- Length of service
- Clinical contribution and initiative
