About the Role:
The Territory Sales Representative is responsible for driving growth and supporting our distributor and ready-mix partners across British Columbia. This role plays a key part in expanding Xypex’s presence by developing performance-based specifications and promoting product use through direct engagement with engineers, architects, municipalities, and industry professionals.
You’ll lead strategic account development, identify and track project opportunities, host technical presentations (including lunch and learns, webinars, and trade shows), and implement targeted sales programs.
This is a hands-on role focused on building relationships and providing technical sales support to increase market awareness and the adoption of Xypex’s full range of products.
This position requires up to 30% travel within British Columbia.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Identify the leading Engineering and Architectural firms in the territory and approach them to describe Xypex products.
- Identify the leading Municipal, Regional, Provincial, and governments in the territory and approach them to describe Xypex products.
- Succeed in securing Xypex specifications for upcoming construction products where Xypex products would be applicable.
- Conduct business development activities with a strong focus on Xypex’s line of admixtures and repair materials.
- Identify and track Xypex project opportunities using Xypex’s CRM (Salesforce)
- Join and attend relevant industry associations, conferences and trade shows.
What You’ll Need
- 3+ years of experience in business development or sales within the construction industry, preferably in the concrete or ready-mix industry (or equivalent experience).
- Direct experience in the construction materials or concrete sector is a strong asset; familiarity with the ready-mix market is a plus.
- Willingness and ability to travel within BC, including occasional overnight stays (up to 30%).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms (Salesforce experience preferred).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A quick learner with the ability to confidently communicate the technical value of Xypex’s product line.
- A reliable personal vehicle for travel (company vehicle not provided).
Compensation, Benefits, and Total Rewards
Base Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000
The salary offered to the successful candidate will be based on their experience, knowledge and skills they bring to Xypex. While the expected salary range is $100,000 - $120,000, we may consider a different amount depending on the experience, knowledge, and skills of the successful candidate.
