We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team in Kamloops.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching swimming techniques to individuals of all ages and skill levels, ensuring a safe and enjoyable learning environment. As a Swim Instructor, you will play a crucial role in educating students about water safety, swimming skills, and fostering a love for swimming.
Responsibilities
- Conduct swim lessons for various age groups and skill levels, from beginners to advanced swimmers.
- Develop personalized lesson plans that cater to the individual needs of each student.
- Educate students on water safety practices and the importance of swimming skills.
- Monitor students’ progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment in and around the pool area.
- Communicate effectively with students and their families regarding progress and any concerns.
- Working with children with diverse ages or disabilities
- Participate in ongoing training sessions to improve teaching techniques and stay updated on best practices in swim instruction.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a swim instructor or in a related field is preferred.
- Strong swimming skills with the ability to educate others effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A passion for teaching and helping others develop their swimming abilities.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Certification in CPR, and First Aid.
