Lifestyle Swim Lessons is a private swim lesson company that offers both private and semi-private lessons in both public and private pool settings. Our clientele are families that value private coaching tailored to their children's individual needs. By providing one-on-one coaching we can offer high quality private swim lessons, allowing for quick feedback, more practice, and keen attention on the participant. We specialize in beginner swim development and swim to survive skills. We are looking to expand and hire two awesome new team members with ample experience and a love for the water and coaching.
Job description
Our instructors are trained to provide lessons that align with Lifestyle's standards. They may be working in loud and busy pool environments, so must be confident and capable to claim your space in a facility, whilst giving your full attention to your swimmer, making sure they get the most of their lesson. It is the instructor's responsibility to provide a lesson that is both well planned, yet flexible to each swimmers individual needs. Training on our style of lessons will be offered and must be followed to achieve the best results.
Requirements:
- Current Lifesaving Society Instructor certification.
- Must be at 18 years of age with means of transportation.
- Two years experience instructing is mandatory, more is preferred. Speed swimming coaching is also preferred.
- Ability to evaluate and adjust lesson plans to meet the participant needs as well as the facility needs (example: teaching during a busy public swim).
- A professional countenance and ability to communicate successes and challenges to parents, as well as answer any questions they may have.
- Ability to adapt quickly and make necessary changes to lessons as need be.
Hours:
Currently we are hiring for weekend hours in Saskatoon at the Shaw Centre.
Required Security Check:
Acceptable current Criminal Record Check (CRC) and Vulnerable Sector Search (VSS) upon offer of employment.
Responsibilities
- Instruct students in swimming techniques and safety practices in a clear and engaging manner.
- Follow provided lesson plans, tailoring skills for age and skill level.
- Monitor and assess students' progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Ensure a safe and positive learning environment by enforcing pool rules and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding progress and any concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the swimming area and equipment.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
