At The Rock Steakhouse, we are expanding our menu to offer our guests the finest fresh, hand-crafted sushi. We are looking for a skilled sushi chef to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience working with various forms of sushi, a sharp eye for detail and plate presentation, and the ability to train support staff.
We are a busy casual/fine dining restaurant dedicated to providing our guests with only the best products. We pride ourselves on cutting our own steaks from top local and global producers, ranging from AAA+ Beef to Japanese A5 Wagyu. Our seafood selections include yellowfin tuna, cod, local smoked salmon, and fresh oysters. Our offerings are rounded out by amazing in-house baked desserts and fresh bread. **Responsibilities:**
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to restaurant standards and recipes.
* Ensure all food is handled safely and in compliance with health regulations.
* Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas.
* Assist in meal preparation and plating for service.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service.
* Monitor food inventory and report any shortages or issues to management.
