Position Overview:
The Supply Manager will oversee the procurement, inventory management, and supply chain operations to ensure dealerships receive accurate and timely shipments of automotive parts. This role involves close coordination with suppliers, warehouse teams, and dealership clients to maintain service reliability and inventory efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the procurement of OEM and aftermarket automotive parts from domestic and international suppliers.
- Forecast demand in coordination with sales and dealership order trends to ensure optimal inventory levels.
- Ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of dealership orders, minimizing backorders and delays.
- Maintain accurate inventory records across all distribution points using inventory management systems (ERP/WMS).
- Develop strong supplier relationships, negotiate pricing and terms, and monitor performance metrics such as lead times and fill rates.
- Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to streamline inbound and outbound shipping processes.
- Monitor slow-moving and obsolete inventory and implement strategies for reduction.
- Prepare and analyze reports on inventory turnover, stock levels, and supply chain performance.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs, improve accuracy, and increase speed to customer.
- Stay updated on industry trends, part availability, and market fluctuations that may affect the supply chain.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Automotive Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a supply chain or inventory management role, ideally within the automotive sector or parts distribution.
- Strong understanding of OEM and aftermarket parts supply processes.
- Proficiency with ERP or inventory management systems (e.g., SAP,AMOS, or similar).
- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a customer service mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working directly with dealership networks.
- Familiarity with automotive DMS (Dealer Management Systems).
- Knowledge of import regulations and logistics (if sourcing internationally).
- APICS, CSCP, or other supply chain certification is a plus.
