Purpose:
This is an opportunity to build and shape the supply chain function for our Canadian operations from the ground up. You will have a direct impact on operational efficiency, cost management, and overall business performance, while working in a dynamic and collaborative environment. As a Supply Chain Manager, you will provide dedicated leadership and accountability for operations, play a critical role in optimizing inventory management, enhancing operational efficiency, and driving cost savings across our supply chain activities in Canada.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage on-hand inventory levels and ensure accurate reporting through regular cycle counts.
- Develop, implement, and adhere to robust ordering protocols to support business needs and reduce excess inventory.
- Forecast demand and inventory requirements across multiple product lines and vendors/manufacturers.
- Identify and execute cost-saving initiatives, including freight optimization and refurbishment opportunities.
- Oversee freight utilization and ensure efficient, cost-effective logistics solutions.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, manufacturers, and internal teams.
- Create and maintain equipment and freight forecasts and ensure accountability to those forecasts.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all supply chain-related activities within Canada.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in supply chain management.
- Background in medical devices or technology devices strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to develop and implement process improvements and cost-saving strategies.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in forecasting and inventory management.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to work cross-functionally and drive initiatives forward.
- Self-starter with the ability to think outside the box and work independently.
