About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Supply Chain Specialist to join our growing team. This role is critical to ensuring efficient, cost-effective movement of goods across our global supply chain while maintaining accurate inventory levels and strong supplier/vendor relationships.
You will coordinate all aspects of import and export logistics, negotiate freight rates, maintain inventory accuracy, and work cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to meet company goals and KPIs.
Key Responsibilities:
Logistics & Freight Management
- Coordinate all import and export shipments (air, sea, land), ensuring timely delivery and customs compliance.
- Manage shipping documentation including BOLs, commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
- Regularly communicate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to track shipments and resolve delays.
- Negotiate freight contracts to optimize delivery performance and reduce shipping costs using tools like the Freight Predictability Tracking Matrix.
- Authorize and manage premium freight when required.
Inventory Planning & Management
- Oversee inventory levels across multiple categories in collaboration with 3PL partners.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and investigate inventory discrepancies.
- Forecast inventory needs based on sales trends, seasonality, and customer demand.
- Adjust projections to align with changes in sales performance or supply chain disruptions.
- Maintain and monitor stock levels to avoid stockouts and improve order fill rates.
Vendor & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate with procurement, sales, and operations to align supply chain activities with company objectives.
- Communicate regularly with domestic and international suppliers to confirm order status, shipment readiness, and delivery schedules.
- Provide inventory and logistics support for both internal stakeholders and external customers.
Reporting & Analytics
- Monitor key supply chain KPIs including backorder value, inventory turnover, valuation, and service levels.
- Prepare regular reports and visual dashboards using SAP, Power BI and Excel.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist with special projects as directed by the Director of Supply Chain.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Supply Chain.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in supply chain, inventory planning, or logistics coordination.
- Strong knowledge of import/export operations and international trade compliance.
- Demonstrated success in freight negotiation and vendor management.
- Experience working with 3PLs and managing inventory across multiple categories.
- Proficient in ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel; SAP experience is preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple high-priority tasks.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in the food packaging or commodity industry.
- Familiarity with Incoterms and customs documentation.
- Knowledge of freight management systems and TMS platforms.

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
