Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English As A Second Language (ESL) Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching English to non-native speakers, with a focus on creating an engaging and supportive learning environment for students of all ages. This role involves developing lesson plans, delivering instruction, and assessing student progress to help learners achieve their language goals.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans tailored to the needs of ESL students.
- Provide instruction in reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills in English.
- Create a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through regular testing and feedback.
- Utilize various teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles.
- Foster a supportive environment for students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Collaborate with other educators to enhance the overall educational experience for students.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching English as a Second Language, preferably in a classroom setting.
- Strong understanding of language acquisition principles and effective teaching strategies.
- Experience working with children or diverse age groups is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to educate effectively.
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching are essential qualities for success in this role.
- A degree in Education, Linguistics, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory; relevant certifications will be considered an asset.

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 4 weeks
Pay: From $17.50 per hour
