Hope Haven Therapeutic Riding Centre is looking for enthusiastic, creative, and responsible individuals to join our team as Summer Camp Counselors for our Camp Hope - Summer Camp!
This is a rewarding opportunity to spend your summer making a difference in the lives of children and adults with disabilities through inclusive, outdoor, equine farm based programming.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and supervise campers during daily activities around the farm
- Assist in facilitating fun, adaptive camp experiences centered around horse care, crafts, games, and outdoor exploration
- Create a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all participants
- Collaborate with fellow counselors, volunteers, and program staff
- Communicate with campers with diverse needs in a supportive and engaging way
Qualifications:
- Must be 16 years of age or older
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is an asset
- First Aid/CPR certification is encouraged
- Strong communication skills, patience, and a positive attitude
- Comfortable working outdoors in all types of summer weather
