Saskatoon Student Child Care Services Inc. seeks substitute educators to be part of a team that strives to offer quality care in an exciting and supportive work environment.
Our organization consists of 3 child care centres: Sharon Van Cleave Child Care Centre, Saskatoon Early Childhood Education Demonstration Centre, and Royal West Early Learning Centre. We require substitute ECEs to work with regular staff within our three centres to ensure that the health and safety needs of all children are met in a developmentally appropriate and responsive environment. This position requires flexibility to adapt to the varying environments of each centre and clientele that we serve.
Our organization provides opportunity for teen parents and families with children ages 2 weeks through five years to be active members of our community. Minimum requirements:
Clear and Current Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector check (provided before first shift)
ECE Level 1 minimum
Current First Aid and CPR
Ability to work a shift within centre hours of 7:00 am to 5:30 pm
Well-developed interpersonal, and relationship building skills; ability to establish rapport and excellent verbal skills
Experience and sensitivity in dealing with members of differing cultural, racial, and socio-economic backgrounds,
High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and diplomacy
Patient, warm, energetic, flexible, sensitive and responsive
There is the potential for this position to develop into a permanent, full-time contract.

Pay: $15.00-$20.50 per hour
