We're Hiring: Student Social Impact Project Coach (Part-Time / In-Person)

We are a boutique education consulting firm based in Vancouver, specializing in personalized academic and extracurricular planning for students aiming for top universities in North America. We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Student Social Impact Project Coach to join our team.
Position Overview:
This role focuses on guiding high school students in designing and executing meaningful social impact or community-based projects. The ideal candidate will have strong project design skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience mentoring students through ideation, planning, execution, and reflection phases of their initiatives. This position includes both in-person meetings and online support sessions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mentor students in identifying personal interests and connecting them to relevant community or global issues
- Guide students through the project design process, including research, goal setting, stakeholder engagement, budgeting, and implementation
- Help students navigate challenges during project execution and encourage sustainable impact
- Assist in documenting and presenting project outcomes through reports, reflections, or multimedia
- Collaborate with our academic and admissions advising team to ensure the student’s project aligns with their broader application narrative
- Provide coaching on leadership, time management, teamwork, and community communication
- Track progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from a North American university (Education, Social Sciences, Public Policy, International Development, or related fields preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in youth project coaching, nonprofit work, or education-based program management
- Strong background in social impact project design, community engagement, or student leadership development
- Ability to inspire and coach high school students to take initiative and think critically
- Excellent communication, organization, and facilitation skills
- Must be able to work in-person in Kerrisdale and remotely as needed
- Legally eligible to work in Canada (valid work permit, PR, or citizenship)
Preferred Assets:
- Experience working with high-achieving high school students or in competitive university prep environments
- Knowledge of college admissions expectations related to student-led initiatives and extracurriculars
- Experience designing and leading service-learning, civic engagement, or passion projects in educational settings
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rate based on qualifications and experience.
Starting at CAD 50 per hour
