Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Strength and Conditioning Coach/Personal Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for athlete development, a strong understanding of stride related biomechanics, and the ability to lead, motivate and engage athletes during their training sessions.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct private, semi-private and large group workouts focused on stride mechanics and performance improvement.
- Provide individualized coaching to athletes, ensuring proper technique and safety.
- Working with athletes of all ages and abilities.
- Collaborate with the team to continuously improve training methods and programs.
- Maintain a positive and professional environment in the training facility.
- Monitor and maintain and training equipment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years coaching, personal training, or a related experience.
- Post-secondary education in physical health sciences (e.g., kinesiology, personal training, physical education, etc.).
- Strong understanding of biomechanics and athletic development principles for kids of all ages.
- Higher-level playing experience in hockey (or other ice sports) is not a requirement but is considered an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
