THE ROLE
As a Sports Store Technician you will assist in the smooth operation of the Sports Store, and will prepare reports, maintain distribution account records, obtains quotes for purchasing sports and fitness equipment and supplies, schedule equipment use, inspect, test, service and repair equipment, and maintain an inventory of equipment. Additional duties of the Sports Store Technician include coordinating with an outside agency for facility maintenance, acting as the Facility Occupational Health and Safety Representative, operating facility vehicles, and assisting with special events.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
Education, Certifications and Licenses
High school diploma AND several years of experience in a related field
Valid Driver’s License (Ontario)
Valid DND 404 Military Licence, as required
Experience
In issuing sports equipment
In the preparation and maintenance of outdoor sports facilities
In equipment maintenance/scheduling
In loss prevention
In inventory control
In record keeping/invoicing
In event planning
Competencies
