Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Social Media Consultant to join our team at Cannon Estate Winery and Calibre by Cannon lounge. As the Social Media Consultant, you will play the crucial role of executing our Social Media program. This position requires strong hands-on leadership skills, a passion for food and wine, and the ability to work collaboratively with winery and lounge staff as well as management. If you are an experienced Social Media Consultant, this may be the place for you as you help us demonstrate the Fraser Valley can be an exceptional place to produce wine.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute Cannon Estate Winery’s social media plan with an approved budget
- Manage two Instagram, one Facebook, one TikTok, and one LinkedIn channels, ensuring alignment with Cannon Estate Winery and Calibre by Cannon branding and existing voice
- Daily content production and management, including feed posts, reels, daily stories, giveaways, customer photo reshares, menu updates, live music, events, and more
- Static posts and reels approved by Owners or their designated representative
- Collect content on site for social media postings as required and when opportunities arise (events, bottling, music performances, property scenes etc.)
- Design posters for social media ensuring consistency with Cannon Brand Board
- Coordinate with Owners for giveaways on social media
- Engage followers by replying to direct messages regarding reservations, feedback, customer inquiries, and orders
- Track metrics including engagement (likes, comments, shares), website clicks, event sign-ups, and online sales in coordination wit the FOH Operations Manager
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a social media consultant or similar role for a high-volume winery, restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong digital media skills including photography, video and editing for social media
- Strong social media and marketing skills and knowledge of all relevant platforms including Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok , among others
- Experience with Later social media scheduling and Canva programs strongly desired
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with winery and lounge staff, management, and guests
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and maintain attention to detail.
- Wine knowledge is a plus
