Job Description
Reporting to the General Manager, the Sleeving Line Team Lead is responsible for the preparation, maintenance and operation of the can decorating process. They work closely with team members, to exceed customer quality expectations while ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Maintain a clean and safe working area at all times
- Ensure compliance with company safety rules and policy.
- Prepare and operate, and maintain all equipment related to can sleeving
- Monitor product quality on-line
- Continuously work to improve process
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Technical or mechanical training desired
- Mechanical aptitude is an asset.
- Asset to have forklift experience.
- Quality focused individual with experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Organized and hard worker
- Strong verbal, written and comprehension skills.
- Must be able to utilize math skills (decimals and fractions).
- Must be able to use a scale and relate to metric and standard measurements.
- Read and interpret variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- The ability to solve practical problems and troubleshoot
- Interact and communicate with all areas and levels of the company
- Ability to work in and contribute to a strong team environment
- Work Overtime as required
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing situations
- Stand for long periods of time/ some heavy lifting requirement
- Work independently for long periods of time
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
