We're Hiring: Parking Lot Line Painter (Dayshift)
Who are you?
You are someone who considers yourself dependable, physically active, and enjoys working outdoors in a hands-on environment. You take pride in delivering high-quality work, and you are eager to acquire new skills. You are ready to take the necessary steps to succeed in a leadership role. You enjoy working with others and teaching by example. You are a good communicator and respond well to constructive criticism. You do not mind a flexible schedule because you dislike traditional 9-to-5 jobs.
Dealbreakers – You Must Be Able to Say "Yes" to the Following:
- Do you live in one of the following cities (Maple Ridge, Port Coquitlam, Coquitlam, Port Moody, Burnaby, North Surrey, East Van)
- Will this be your only job?
- Do you have a valid driver’s license?
- Are you comfortable driving a 1-ton vehicle (12-foot cube van)?
- Can you park a 12-foot cube van at or near your home?
- Can you work jobs with as little as 24 hours notice?
- Are you ok with getting 35 hrs a week on average?
- This is a seasonal job ending in November and starting back up in March. Is this ok?
- Do you have full access to a vehicle? (shared vehicles do not count, sorry)
What You'll Be Doing:
- Painting parking lines, arrows, curbing, speed bumps, letters, numbers, and logos using gas-powered spray machines.
- Working in a two-person crew: one foreman and one helper.
- Day shift work ranging between 6am-6pm.
- Nightshift work (when needed)
Wages:
- Training: $20/hour (first 2 weeks)
- After training: $25/hour
- Foreman rate: $30/hour (once you are driving a company vehicle)
Hours:
- Approx. 35 hours per week
- Weekend work required (but never two weekends in a row)
- Seasonal work: Busy season (Apr-Oct). Off season (Dec–Mar) — you may find other work or apply for EI with our support.
Requirements:
- Full availability with flexibility for varying start times
- Own vehicle to travel to changing job sites
- Attention to detail – we take pride in doing meticulous work
- Physically active – the job involves a lot of walking
