Job duties include:
- Lots of skiing
- First aid assessment, treatment, and transportation via toboggan or snowmobile
- Incident investigation and other paperwork
- Daily and ongoing hazard assessment
- Daily trail crew tasks such as fencing and shovelling
- Assisting with avalanche control missions
- Dispatcher duties including: Microsoft Office, phone, radio, handwritten
communications - Emergency lift evacuation
- Knowledge and application of the Alpine Responsibility Code
- Assist with other duties as assigned
Job requirements:
- Advanced skiing ability (black diamond moguls)
- Valid 80-hour wilderness first aid certification or equivalent (Rocky Mountain Adventure Medicine or Peak NUEC preferred)
- Valid CPR or HCP certificate
- High level of physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in all-weather conditions
- Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation
- Must be able to hear and speak clearly for communication using radios and phones
- If applicable, must have a valid Working Holiday Visa

- PSIC or CSIA Level 1 or 2
- AST 1 or 2
- CAA Ops 1
- Rock climbing and rope skills
- Snowmobile operation
- Previous ski patrol experience
