Position Overview:
We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Shipper/Receiver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately processing incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring products are handled safely, and maintaining an organized warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Prepare, package, and label outgoing shipments according to company and customer requirements.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely (training provided if needed).
- Maintain accurate shipping/receiving records in our inventory system.
- Keep warehouse and shipping areas clean and organized.
- Work with the warehouse and sales teams.
- Adhering to safety guidelines and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications:
- Previous shipping/receiving or warehouse experience preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Forklift certification is an asset (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer skills for order entry and record keeping.
- Valid class 5 driver’s licence/preference with air brakes (a current driver’s abstract may be required)
