Responsibilities

- Monitor resident behavior and enforce shelter policies to maintain order and safety.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to residents, fostering a sense of community.
- Conduct intake assessments for new residents to determine their needs and develop individualized support plans.
- Collaborate with local agencies and service providers to connect residents with additional resources.
- Maintain accurate records of resident interactions, incidents, and services provided.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge related to shelter operations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Shelter operations role is an asset
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
- Compassionate attitude towards individuals facing homelessness or crisis situations.
- Ability to handle conflict resolution calmly and professionally.
- Basic understanding of community resources available for individuals in need.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required by shelter operations.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality regarding resident information and privacy.

Pay: $20.00-$21.00 per hour
