Responsibilities
- Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal products according to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Utilize hand tools and machinery for cutting, shaping, and finishing metal components
- Perform welding tasks as required for specific projects
- Conduct restoration work on existing structures or systems involving sheet metal
- Collaborate with other trades such as plumbing and carpentry to complete projects efficiently
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment
Skills
- Proficient in the use of hand tools related to sheet metal work
- Experience in construction practices and techniques
- Knowledge of carpentry principles is a plus
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately
- Familiarity with caulking techniques for sealing joints and seams
- Skills in restoration processes for existing installations
- Competence in construction painting as needed for finishing touches
- Basic plumbing knowledge is beneficial for integrated systems work
- Welding skills are essential for joining metal components effectively
- Experience with flooring installation and tile laying can enhance project versatility
