The Department of Pathology and Microbiology at the Atlantic Veterinary College, University of Prince Edward Island has an opening for a sessional instructor of veterinary immunology during the upcoming Fall 2025 semester.


VPM1110 Veterinary Immunology (2 credits)

This is a required course in the first year of the DVM program. The course covers events occurring during an immune response at the cellular, molecular, and clinical levels, and the role of the response in the prevention and control of infectious disease. Clinical applications relevant to veterinary medicine are discussed. The sessional instructor will be responsible for teaching two lecture hours and one tutorial hour per week, in person.

Lecture: Wednesday 8:30 – 9:20, Friday 10:30 – 11:20

Tutorial: Friday 11:30 – 12:20


Qualifications:

Applicants must hold an MSc or PhD in a field related to veterinary or comparative immunology. Documented experience teaching similar courses and a DVM degree are assets. Preference will be given to qualified candidates with seniority on the UPEI Sessional Roster and full-time and term contract Faculty members of the Academic unit.
