The Service Agent plays a vital role in delivering excellent customer service by assisting Ontario residents with a wide range of government services. This role ensures that residents can easily access government services, such as health cards, driver’s licenses, vehicle registrations, and more, in a timely and efficient manner. The Service Agent is expected to uphold the standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and service excellence, ensuring that the customer experience is seamless, accurate, and positive.
What you’ll be doing:
- Respond to inquiries from the public regarding a range of services including health cards, driver's licenses, vehicle registrations, and other government services.
- Assist customers in-person, by phone, and via digital platforms with questions related to Service Ontario processes.
- Process applications and transactions related to health card renewals, driver’s licenses, vehicle registrations, and other provincial services.
- Verify documents and ensure accurate information is provided in accordance with Service Ontario policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain a professional and approachable demeanor at all times.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information in accordance with privacy and security regulations.
- Perform other related tasks as required.
- Minimum College or University level Degree/Undergraduates Degree or comparable experience.
- 1 - 2 years of customer service experience.
- Experience handling cash transactions.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in computers/technology.
- An adaptable approach to work as position responsibilities will change to meet member/client requirements.
- A team approach to work is required as efforts are focused on team results.
- You must be flexible with regards to working various hours including days, evenings and Saturdays.
- Must be fluent in French.
