As a Service Advisor, you will act as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring their needs are met while providing expert advice on vehicle maintenance and repair services.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally as they arrive at the service department.
- Assess customer needs by listening to their concerns and providing appropriate solutions.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to explain technical issues clearly to customers.
- Prepare detailed service estimates and communicate them effectively to clients.
- Upsell additional services based on customer needs and vehicle condition.
- Manage cash handling procedures accurately during transactions.
- Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely completion of services and repairs.
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any further questions or concerns.
- Maintain organized records of customer interactions, service history, and sales activities.
Experience
- Previous experience in a dealership environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong mechanical knowledge is essential for effective communication with both customers and technicians.
- Proven sales experience, particularly in upselling automotive services, is highly desirable.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building lasting relationships.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures is beneficial.
- A background in automotive repair or as a mechanic will enhance your ability to assist customers effectively.
