Duties
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients for various dishes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
- Support chefs and cooks during meal service by providing timely assistance with cooking and plating.
- Handle food items safely and efficiently, adhering to all health regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy service periods.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any guest inquiries or requests promptly.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving deliveries and stocking supplies as needed.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills in food handling, preparation, and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper handling techniques is essential.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and guests.
- Experience as a barista or in hospitality roles is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills related to food preparation and service.
