We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. Duties
- Assist chefs and cooks with food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
- Help with inventory management by restocking supplies and notifying supervisors of low stock levels.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, following all safety guidelines.
- Support the team during meal service by plating dishes and ensuring timely delivery to dining areas.
- Participate in daily cleaning tasks to uphold health and safety standards in the kitchen.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Good time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is a plus but can be taught on the job.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as needed in the kitchen environment.
