SAMBAL is a modern Indonesian bistro opening soon on The Danforth in Toronto. We are currently hiring Servers & Floor Staff who thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and are excited to introduce guests to something new. You'll be the face of SAMBAL, delivering exceptional service, guiding guests through our unique menu, and ensuring every dining experience is smooth, warm, and memorable.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests with a welcoming attitude
- Present and explain menu items, offering recommendations
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and promptly
- Deliver orders, check on guest satisfaction, and clear tables efficiently
- Handle payments, operate POS system, and manage bills
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining area
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff
- Help create a fun, inclusive, and respectful environment for guests and team
Experience
- 1+ year serving experience in a restaurant or bistro (preferred)
- Friendly, energetic, and customer-focused
- Comfortable learning and describing new cuisines
- Smart Serve Certified (required)
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills
