Server Job Description
Duties:
- Provide excellent guest services by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and addressing any customer inquiries or concerns.
- Ensure a clean and organized dining area by setting tables, arranging decorations, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the shift.
- Take accurate orders and relay them to the kitchen staff in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure prompt and accurate delivery of food to customers.
- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register efficiently.
- Prepare food items such as salads, appetizers, or desserts as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and any changes in ingredients or preparation methods.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe dining experience for customers.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Basic math skills for calculating bills, making change, and splitting checks.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety procedures is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
