Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests in a warm and welcoming manner.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using the POS system.
- Provide detailed information about menu items, including daily specials and promotions.
- Upsell additional items to enhance the dining experience.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to guests.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal and address any concerns promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, utensils, and service areas.
- Assist with food preparation as needed, adhering to safety and hygiene standards.
- Process payments efficiently while handling cash transactions accurately.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong guest service skills with the ability to create a positive dining experience.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and making change.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques is a plus.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a busy setting while multitasking efficiently.
- Familiarity with cashiering duties and operating POS systems is advantageous.
- A commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in all areas of service.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
