Senior Accountant – Job Description

Job Duties

• Supervise the bookkeeping of accounts (including, but not limited to, making journal entries and account reconciliations) of the business;
• Keep accurate and complete records of all financial and administrative activities;
• Provide, revise and update internal reports so that they are more convenient and efficient, then provide external reports, as needed;
• Prepare monthly billing to franchisees;
• Support for internal billing verification and follow-up of procedures related to new franchisees;
• Preparation and verification of accounts payable and corporate credit card reports;
• Prepare the analysis and regularly monitor the cash flows;
• Follow up on the collection of accounts receivable from the company;
• Preparation, verification and accounting of payroll;
• Preparing the monthly tax return for consumption;
• Prepare monthly dashboards to provide simplified financial information to operations, facilitating decision-making and monitoring of results;
• Perform monthly reconciliation of accounts;
• Prepare and provide support for the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements;
• Analyze the monthly financial statements according to the budget;
• Maintain end-of-year documents and worksheets, and assist in the preparation of independent audits or audits;
• Assist in the maintenance of policies and procedures relating to complex financial and accounting matters;
• Implement new processes and processes to improve and improve the Finance department

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or other related discipline and / or equivalent combination of postsecondary education and relevant technical experience
• CPA student – an asset
• 3-5 years and over of experience in business accounting
• Knowledge of Microsoft Business Central 365 - an asset
• Experience in the field of franchising an asset
• Good knowledge of the complete accounting cycle
• Excellent computer skills and general understanding of computer accounting systems
• Practical knowledge of the Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, PPT)
