Position Overview
We are seeking professional and reliable Security Guards to join our team at a busy shopping centre. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for tenants, staff, and visitors, while providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Patrol the site property on foot to ensure the safety of all patrons and staff
- Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas through surveillance and guard presence
- Respond quickly to incidents, alarms, and emergencies, following proper protocols
- Provide excellent customer service and assist shoppers or staff when needed
- Deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized activity through proactive security measures
- Prepare accurate daily reports and incident documentation
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when required
Qualifications
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License (required)
- Valid First Aid & CPR certification (preferred)
- Must have in-depth understanding of the Ontario Trespass to Property Act
- Must have an in-depth understanding of Citizens' Powers of Arrest (Section 494 of the Canadian Criminal Code)
- Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong observational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
- Professional, reliable, and committed to safety
- Previous shopping centre or retail security experience is an asset, but not required

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Security Supervisor to oversee security operations at a busy shopping centre. The Supervisor will lead a team of security guards, ensure operational excellence, and serve as the primary point of contact between site management, tenants, and our company.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, schedule, and support a team of security guards to ensure site coverage and performance
- Conduct patrols and inspections of the property, ensuring compliance with security protocols
- Respond to incidents, emergencies, and alarms, while providing leadership during critical situations
- Serve as the main liaison with management, tenants, and law enforcement when required
- Monitor and review incident reports, daily activity logs, and ensure accuracy in documentation
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to staff
- Assist in training new security personnel and enforcing company policies and procedures
- Ensure all guards maintain a professional appearance and deliver exceptional customer serviceQualifications
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License (required)
- Valid First Aid & CPR certification (required)
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory or team lead experience in security or related field
- Deep knowledge in Trespass to Property Act as well as Citizens' Powers of Arrest (Section 494 of the Criminal Code of Canada) as well as the ability to train their security team on this specific legislation.
- Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to make quick, sound decisions under pressure
- Proficiency with incident reporting and security technology (CCTV, access control, patrol software)
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
