This is a “Seasonal Position” that will entail a variety of responsibilities. Responsibilities would include assisting with the fueling of watercraft as well as receiving payments and other office, maintenance, and retail duties.
The position runs from July until the end of August or till mid-September(based on business requirements). The shift will be set with established days off but shifts could include weekend work. (20 – 30 hours per week)
Fuel station is operated 7 days a week.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Marina:
- Safely, Secure and Fuel watercraft.
- Ice (Block and Cube) manufacturing and packaging.
General:
- Customer service. This position will deal directly with customers.
- Responsible for accepting payments (cash, credit card, accounts)
- Receiving, checking and stocking merchandise.
- Clerical duties could include invoicing, manual product tracking and reporting, product ordering, and a variety of inspection reports.
- Site General Maintenance (pumps, Office, etc.)
- Maintain clean, organized and safe work environments. (Fuel dock/storage shed, etc.)
- Responsible to report all incidents/near misses/spills and injuries
- Must adhere to all Occupational Health and Safety policy and procedures as outline by legislature and company policy.
- Be familiar with “Emergency Response plans”.
- Participate in all relevant Safety meetings, drills and audits.

Pay: $17.00-$19.00 per hour

- Weekends as needed
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Nanaimo, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
