ROLE PURPOSE
The Salesforce Administrator will play a key role in managing and optimizing our Salesforce environment to support core organizational functions, including Case Management, Grant Management, and financial operations via Certinia. This role ensures that our Salesforce platform is configured to enable efficient workflows, robust reporting, and seamless user experiences across departments. By serving as a bridge between technical capabilities and operational goals, this position will help enhance service delivery, improve grant tracking and compliance, and strengthen financial oversight through integrated platform management.
REPORTING AND WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
- Reports and is accountable to the Senior Manager of Information Technology, or their designate(s)
- Participates as a member of the Connective IT Applications team
- Coordinates and collaborates with IT contractors, consultants, vendors, and other partners as required
- Coordinates and collaborates with Connective staff
- Coordinates with third party IT Support providers
This position is remote and open to candidates located anywhere in British Columbia.

HOURS
40 hours per week; Monday - Friday, 0830 - 1630.

- Platform Administration: Serve as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for our Salesforce environment, ensuring platform stability, security, data integrity, and optimal configuration. Manage day-to-day operations, user support, and platform reliability.
- Solution Design & Configuration: Collaborate across the organization to gather business requirements, refine processes, and shape a clear product vision. Analyze business needs and translate them into Salesforce solutions. Design and implement scalable configurations to optimize the user experience.
- Automation & Optimization: Leverage standard Salesforce automation to streamline user tasks and standardize business processes. Continuously evaluate platform usage, performance, and data integrity to identify and implement improvements.
- User Enablement: Provide ongoing training, documentation, and responsive support to product users. Promote adoption of Salesforce best practices through enablement strategies tailored to end-user needs.
- Change Management: Lead and prioritize change initiatives related to platform updates, new feature rollouts, and process enhancements. Ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruption through thoughtful planning and communication.
- Data Management: Maintain high standards of data quality through regular audits, cleansing, and enforcement of validation and duplicate rules. Manage data imports, exports, and storage needs while ensuring compliance with data governance standards.
- Security & Access Controls: Implement and maintain user roles, profiles, permission sets, and sharing rules to enforce platform security and support evolving business requirements.
- Systems Integration: Collaborate with developers, vendors, and IT teams to manage and maintain integrations with external systems. Understand the impact of integrations on data models, performance, and workflows to ensure cohesive platform performance.
- Function independently, while remaining a crucial member of the IT Services team
- Adhere to Connective policies and procedures
- Work remotely within BC with the ability to attend Connective offices across BC if required
- A degree in computer science or a related discipline. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
- At least three years of experience with Salesforce administration.
- Salesforce Certified Administrator, Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator, or equivalent certifications preferred.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities, limitations, standard objects, fields, and functionality.
- At least three years of related/transferable development and systems implementation experience supporting a medium or large-size organization.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with clients within a diverse and complex community, and to ensure that enterprise-wide services are of consistently high quality.
- Strong customer-service orientation.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to communicate ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
- Ability to successfully complete all required security clearances, including but may not be limited to the Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check, MCFD Clearance, and Enhanced Security Clearance Checks.
- Ability to successfully pass a reference check.
- Proof of vaccination for communicable diseases may be required as mandated by Government, Health Authority, and/or funder requirements
Annual Salary will be between $ 69,200.00 to $86,520.00 and will be based on experience and qualifications. This role is also eligible for the organization's comprehensive benefits package. The salary range provided represents the total compensation plan for this position. Actual salary placement will be determined based on a variety of factors, including pay equity, market conditions, candidate experience, internal equity, and organizational priorities. Placement within the range is typically at the midpoint.
