Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deli Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality deli products. The ideal candidate will possess strong culinary skills, a passion for food, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Prepare and serve deli items, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
- Operate Aloha POS and Micros POS systems for accurate order processing and cash handling.
- Engage with customers to provide excellent service, including upselling products and answering inquiries.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the deli area, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory management, including stocking supplies and managing product rotation.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Perform basic math calculations for transactions and inventory tracking.
- Support bussing duties as needed to maintain a clean dining area.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or a quick service & fast food restaurant is preferred.
- Culinary experience with knowledge of food preparation techniques is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems (Aloha POS or Micros POS) is advantageous.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage customers positively.
- Knowledge of food handling and safety practices is essential.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations are required.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting while also being self-motivated.
