We are currently seeking a knowledgeable and adaptable Safety Trainer for part-time or full-time work who can also support general operations in the shop when not actively training. This dual-role position is ideal for a safety-conscious professional who enjoys teaching others and is comfortable stepping into hands-on shop work as needed.
Key Responsibilities – Training (Primary Role):
· Deliver engaging, compliant training sessions on topics including:
o Forklift Operation
o Propane Handling
o Aerial Platform (Genie)
o Fit Testing
o Combilift
o Telescopic Forklift
o Bobcat Operation
o Mobile Crane (0–8 Ton) Operation
o Working at Heights
· Conduct evaluations and practical assessments for trainees
· Maintain accurate training records, certifications, and documentation
· Update training materials to reflect the latest standards and regulations
· Promote a strong safety culture across the organization
Qualifications:
· Certified and experienced in providing safety training in the areas listed above
· Strong presentation and communication skills
· Thorough knowledge of provincial safety regulations and industry best practices
· Comfortable working in both classroom and shop environments
· Flexibility to train a few days per month and assist with shop tasks the remainder of the time
· Valid driver's licence
