Role: Safety Equipment Retail Associate/Mask Fit Tester

Hours: 8 - 28 hrs/wk

Location: 4 - 3060 Davidson Crt, Burlington, ON

Wage: $20/hr


Worksite is looking for safety-minded professionals who are resourceful, self-motivated and highly organized to support our customers in their safety equipment needs at our new Burlington retail store. Possible shifts may be Saturday, Sunday (daytime hours) and Wednesday - Friday (early evenings). This is an in-store sales position and remote-based work is not available.


The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Supporting customers in finding the appropriate worksite safety equipment for their needs
  • Conducting equipment sales transactions (cashless)
  • Store opening and closing tasks
  • Monitoring inventory of training centre materials and supplies
  • Resolving customer questions about Worksite training and services
  • Providing qualitative mask fit testing to individuals as booked online
  • Educating mask fit customers on mask use best practices
  • Other duties as required to support the location and client services teams

To best support our customers, we are seeking candidates that have the following qualifications and experience:

  • 2+ years experience in customer service and sales in a retail environment
  • Proven ability to work productively in an independent setting
  • Experience in an occupational health and safety role preferred
  • Education in medical administration or occupational health and safety preferred
  • Experience in delivering qualitative mask fit testing is considered an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced and independent setting
  • Working knowledge of and experience using Google Drive and Gmail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), and Stripe POS
  • Ability to prioritize conflicting priorities and manage multiple deadlines
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
