Restoration Technician
Titan Construction Disaster and Restoration Specialists are seeking reliable, physically fit, hard-working people to join our Technical Team. This job will entail a diversity of responsibilities resulting from emergency sewer back-ups, floods or fires. Duties include but are not limited to cleaning, listing, packing and moving contents or furniture, demolition of flooring, walls and ceilings, and possible operation of a water extraction truck mount or asbestos removal.
Qualifications:
Water Restoration Technician certificate (WRT) from the IICRC (Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification) plus one year of experience in disaster restoration services would be an asset for this position.
- This position is very labour intensive therefore you must be in excellent physical condition and able to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must not have significant allergies to pets, mould, dust or chemicals.
- Willing and able to work overtime and be on-call at scheduled intervals.
- You must have a valid Class 5 driver’s license accompanied with minimum three-year clean driving record and be comfortable operating our fleet of vehicles including a dump truck and cube van. A driver’s abstract will be required by the successful candidate.
- A Criminal/Police Record Check will be required by the successful candidate within the first week of employment.
- Must be clean shaven so that you can don respiratory protective equipment safely.
- Those with current Standard First Aid with Level C CPR will be given priority
- WHMIS, CSTS, or other certification with the IICRC or in Safety is an asset
