Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for providing exceptional customer service and have a strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices. As a Server, you will be responsible for creating memorable dining experiences for our guests while efficiently managing your time and tasks.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly manner, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system, specifically Micros POS, ensuring all details are captured correctly.
- Deliver food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations to guests, including upselling menu items when appropriate.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience and address any concerns promptly.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, adhering to sanitation standards at all times.
- Assist in food preparation as needed, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality control of dishes served.
Experience
- Previous experience in the food service industry is preferred, with a focus on restaurant experience.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
- Familiarity with food handling procedures and safety regulations is essential.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing checks effectively.
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts efficiently.
- Experience with cash handling and cashiering responsibilities is a plus.
