Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and a strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices. As a Server, you will be responsible for ensuring that guests have an enjoyable dining experience by delivering high-quality service, taking orders accurately, and assisting with food preparation as needed.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly manner, providing excellent guest services throughout their dining experience.
- Take accurate food and drink orders using the POS system, specifically Micros POS, and ensure timely delivery to the table.
- Provide recommendations and upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in both the dining area and kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Assist with food preparation as needed, ensuring that all dishes meet quality standards before serving.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during busy periods.
- Manage time effectively to handle multiple tables while maintaining high service standards.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant experience preferred, with knowledge of food service operations in the food industry.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is a plus.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing bills accurately.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards is essential.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy shifts.
