We are seeking dedicated caregivers to support families during the summer months, provide after-school care during the school year, and assist during holiday seasons.
Musts:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Reliable vehicle and liability insurance
- Ability to transport children safely to and from activities and school
- First Aid certification
- Police Check with Vulnerable Sector
- CFS Intervention Check
Duties:
- Provide respite care for children aged 2-17 years
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Prepare and serve meals in accordance with dietary restrictions and preferences
- Perform light housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Support mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Offer companionship and emotional support
- Plan and facilitate engaging activities tailored to each child's interests and abilities
Skills & Attributes:
- Experience required
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including heavy lifting
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
