Under the direction of the Manager, Residential Operations, the Residential Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of an Opportunities Yukon residential program. The results of this staffing activity may be used to fill future Residential Supervisor vacancies.
This position supervises a team of Resident Support Workers and Shift Lead to deliver the structured supported living program, unique to each residence, that encourages the achievement of resident programming outcomes. Duties include: ensuring staff have adequate orientation, training, tools, and guidance to perform their responsibilities effectively and safely; coordinating new intakes; compiling information for ongoing client case management; ensuring that client logs are recorded and maintained; compiling and maintaining up-to-date client files/binders/log books/case management systems; monitoring and logging prescribed medication; and participating in the evaluation and change of treatment plans and treatment progress.
The Residential Supervisor collaborates with the case managers, clinicians, social workers, and other community agencies and resources to provide and coordinate resident support services, develop and implement prescribed individualized wellness plans, and directly facilitate programming.
This is an indeterminate, full-time position working five 8-hour shifts per week. Flexibility is required in order to provide supervision to shifts working 24-7. The hourly wage is $33.45 to $35.79, depending on the program. Opportunities Yukon offers a comprehensive employee benefits program.
Qualifications (ensure your resume demonstrates these qualifications including the organization and dates where the experience was gained)
- Significant experience supervising employees in a client-focussed environment, including motivating and managing a team of direct reports;
- Experience organizing and prioritizing work to be performed by the residence team.
